VISUAL LEARNING

The ideas on this site will help children learn Bible Verses that go along with their weekly lessons. This is done by using the visual aspect of learning.

To present the bible verse you can use the flash cards or a power point presentation. The cards you show the children do not have the words printed on the front, the words should be printed on the back of the cards. There are several simple games that can be used with the flash cards.

In our Sunday School class the children learn a new verse each month. Each Sunday the lesson, game and craft reinforce the Bible Verse we are learning. At the end of the month we present our knowledge of the verse to the congregation. The corresponding power point is shown to the audience while the children recite the verse.

More Teaching Ideas

You will find ideas for teaching the 10 Commandments and Books of the Old Testament on this site.

Also included are several lessons and activities you can play during the class time that will reinforce the lesson being taught. When the story, song, craft and game are all tied to the lesson it helps emphasize the message and incorporates all the different learning styles. You can reach the children that learn by hearing, those that learn by seeing, and those that learn by movement. Try and make sure you include all the different learning techniques in your planning.
